From deposit to freezer in a few simple steps. Here’s exactly what to expect.
Choose Your Size
Decide whether you want a half beef or a whole beef. Not sure? A half cow feeds most families for 8–12 months. A whole cow is ideal for larger families or two households splitting an order.
Pay Your Deposit
A deposit locks in your spot and your harvest date. We accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Square and Apple Pay, text us and we’ll send you whichever link you prefer.
Half beef deposit: $1,075Whole beef deposit: $2,000
We Confirm Your Harvest Date
Once your deposit is in, we’ll be in touch with your harvest date. We’ll keep you updated throughout so you always know where things are at.
Your Animal Is Harvested
Your beef is harvested right here on the TX Bar ranch in Northern California. Grass-fed and grass-finished, no hormones, no antibiotics, the same as it’s always been.
Your Butcher Contacts You
After harvest, your beef goes to one of our trusted local butchers. They’ll call you to go through your cut list, you choose exactly how you want everything cut and wrapped. First time? They’ll walk you through it.
Second Payment
Your second payment is due at this stage, $1,075 for half beef, $2,000 for whole beef, paid to the rancher. Your butcher will also invoice their fee separately at this point.
Pick Up Your Beef
Your beef will be vacuum sealed and ready to collect from your butcher shop. No delivery, this is pickup only, which is part of how we keep costs down and quality up.
Stock Your Freezer
That’s it. Your freezer is stocked with beef that’ll last 2–3 years. Most of our customers say they’ll never go back to the grocery store.
“Travis was quick to respond to texts, patient to explain the process as this was our first time. Overall great experience.”
